How Can You Help?
The overall mission of Colored My Mind is to educate, enlighten, and empower parents whose children are on the ASD spectrum throughout communities nationwide.
With this mission we need to raise $50,000 so that our programs and support system can be taken directly to local communities. We are planning to go into schools and various community centers in cities through out the country so that families will know that they are not alone and to make them aware of the various resources available to all struggling with autism.
We are also creating an online network to help and empower other families. CMM will set up a free online social network, called the CMM Network on its website to serve as a community of people dedicated to dialoguing on issues related to ASD. This resource provides a system of connections, programs, and exchange of ideas within its network. The network also embodies educators, advocates, therapists, parents, siblings, other family members and acts as a resource for connection, sharing ideas, mentorship, support, exchanging information about events and programs available related to ASD in local communities. CMM is hoping to roll out the pilot of this network in early 2013. CMM will also publicize its network through its social media pages, such as Twitter and Facebook. The CMM network is a free network and open to all.
It is because of these two missions that we need your help!
